Open minds mastering flight…
Positive personal growth starts with well-being. As a club of swimmers, coaches and parents, it resides in healthy relationships. Coaches Flying Gull Aquatic Club was established in 2000. Initially just a swim team, we have grown to offer a range of programs in competitive and developmental swimming. We operate primarily out of Fairland Aquatic Center in Laurel, Maryland. In the summer, our swim team also practices at an outdoor 50 meter facility in College Park. We serve families from Howard, Montgomery and Prince Georges counties and have membership affiliations with USA and AAU Swimming. We support a multitude of area summer leagues and high schools. Our coaches are fully accredited and all swimmers are insured through program membership. In order to ensure adequate lane space and good coach to swimmer ratio in all of our programs, we set roster limits. We maintain a high level of service by keeping our roster manageable, the lines of communication open and our purpose clear. Our web site, team emails, and a comprehensive team directory help to streamline the process. While our developmental and summer prep programs are fairly new, our swim team has been healthy and successful since it’s inception. Even though we are one of the smallest teams in Potomac Valley and the D.C. metro area, we have managed to stay competitive and get results:
