For most of us, the day started out before sunrise as the team met at the "BIG WAWA" on Route 50. After getting our big gulps of caffine, we caravaned behind a Grandpa that made sure we all went well below the speed limit. We realized this was very stressful for Dan as all his hair was pulled out by the time we arrived at the Y. The team was led downstairs to the basement of the Y in one of the pre-school rooms - I believe the idea was to keep the team together but what it created was a room full of lunatic children - as well as a few parents! This was a never ending meet- starting at 9:30am and ending at 4:30pm. ![]() The swimmers had more fun throwing objects and playing games, than swimming. All in all it was a bonding experience for some and a mind numbing one for others - right Noreen?! We finished the meet, and drove on to Rehoboth, checked into our rooms at the Atlantic Sands, and met sequincally at the DogHeadFish Brewery. Dan was the perfect Host, as he led us up stairs and even bused a few tables - and you thought he was only a swim coach! Chuck was quite entertaining, and everyone had a great evening - another great bonding experience! ![]() The next morning came way too early for most. The team had a morning workout at the Sussex Y followed in the afternoon by a fun beach workout at Henlopen Park. Again, the champ of the Frisbee Fetch was none other than Heather D.- watch out everyone, she's an animal! The weekend ended too quickly as we all headed home to watch the first Super Bowl for the Eagles - too bad about the loss guys - better luck next time! ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
